1. What is your turnaround time for delivering edited photos?
Turnaround is 24 hours, however we strive to deliver photos the same day of the shoot.
2. Do you have experience working with floor plans or 3D tours?
Yes we do! We offer both services.
3. What kind of equipment and software do you use for real estate photography?
We use adobe software for the photo side of things and Davinci Resolve for video editing and processing. As for the hardware we have trusted the Sony brand since the beginning but there are many many tools necessary to get the best quality photos possible. But we know what you're thinking...
"Why doesn't my iPhone produce those kinds of photos?"
The simple answer is that the sensor in your iPhone sensor isn't capable of processing multiple frames to show the multiple levels of lighting that may be in a home. We assess the lighting in homes upon arrival and decide the best technique to use in order to get the home looking the absolute best. Current equipment can't capture all of the huge differences in light in a home interior and exterior in one single shot so multiple shots must be taken in order to capture the home accurately. Beware of photographers who snap single images from each corner then leave in ten minutes.
4. How many photos do you typically take for each property?
Local MLS allows for up to 40 photos per listing so a general practice is that we will get close to that number, when possible however some properties need more and some need less. Each property will be assessed accordingly.
5. Do you have any tips for preparing a property for a photo shoot?
I'm glad you asked! We have a prep sheet that we issue to our agents and you can get a copy as well here.
7. Are you able to capture aerial photos or videos using a drone?
Sure can! We do drone photos and videos not just for real estate. We've done roof inspection photos as well.
8. How do you handle photo editing and retouching for real estate photos?
Well now we have to keep some things a mystery don't we? Have you ever asked a baker how they make their muffins? Some things taste best once they're done baking, let us worry about the ingredients and you can enjoy the results.
9. What are your policies regarding usage rights and copyright for the photos you take?
We take copyrights very seriously and although you do commission photos we must be very clear on copyright law. The only people allowed to manipulate, edit or distribute the media created is the copyright owner. Agents are granted a license to the media for marketing purposes and the license expires upon the termination of the transaction. Media can not be redistributed, sold or published by any entity other than the copyright owner (One Shot Media) and the licensee of the photos (Realtor of FSBO client) retains rights to publish only for the purposes of marketing the home until the listing is complete, and while sometimes transactions do fall through One Shot Media can not be held liable for such circumstances, thus refunds will not be issued in these circumstances. Our full terms of service are available upon request.
10. That last answer seems kinda depressing, can you at least end this FAQ on a high note?
Sure why not...? How about a joke?
Why did the real estate agent decide to go to therapy?
